| Aug. 30 | Western Invite | The Kokomo boys finished in fifth place. Ian Holtson was Kokomo's highest finisher with a time of 16:47 (8th). The Kokomo girls were seventh with Annika Taber finishing 11th place with a time of 20:55. Carmel took first place in both boys and girls competition. |
| Sept. 2 | Logansport/Maconaquah @ Macon. | The 94-degree heat at 2:00 took a toll on our harriers yesterday. Our girls placed third, behind Maconaquah and Logansport . Annika Taber won the meet with a 22:51. Placing 9th and 10th were Hailey Butchart and Katie Klein. Kellie Miles finished 12th. Placing 16th, 17th, and 18th were Maddie Cassidy, Christian Lawhead, and Kelsey Griffin. Our boys were without the services of Drew Simon, and our #1 runner, Ian Holtson, suffered a leg injury and did not finish. Kokomo placed 2nd behind Maconaquah. Placing individually 4th and 5th were Jordan Lee and Matt Wyss. Dylan Walker was 8th, Vince Calabro was 10th, Kyle Wysong was 13th, and Jeremy Gilman finished 17th. – Coach Stucker |

Jeff. | BOYS: Harrison 35, Lafayette Jeff 41, Kokomo 57 GIRLS: Harrison 30, Lafayette Jeff 48, Kokomo 75 Both boys' and girls' teams finished behind two good Lafayette teams. Harrison and Lafayette Jefferson both edged out our Wildkat harriers. Annika Taber was second in the girls' race with a 21:07 on a relatively slow course. Katie Klein ran 23:37, Maddie Cassidy ran 24:46, Kellie Miles ran 24:54, Kelsey Griffin ran 25:03, and Christian Lawhead ran 26:04 while cutting seven seconds off her season best. Ian Holtson won the boys' race in 17:31, Drew Simon ran 18:05, Matt Wyss ran 18:25, Jordan Lee ran 18:50, Dylan Walker ran 18:54, Kyle Wysong ran 19:06, and Vince Calabro ran 20:25. At
Saturday's Tipton Invitational, the KHS girls placed 4th out of 20
schools and had four season bests. Annika Taber placed 5th individually and
cut 27 seconds off her best time. Kellie Miles was 21st and cut off 13
seconds. Katie Klein equaled her season best and placed 29th. Maddie
Cassidy placed 39th and cut off six seconds. Kelsey Griffin was 44th.
Christian Lawhead was 56th and cut 13 seconds off her best. Our harriers are at IWU on Tuesday against Marion, Tipton, Wabash, and Western. - Coach Stucker |

On a hot afternoon at Indiana Wesleyan University, our Kat harriers ran against Marion, Tipton, Wabash, and Western, with Western picking up double meet wins. Our girls were second, and our boys were a close third. Freshman Annika Taber won the first race, and was followed by Kellie Miles, Katie Klein, Maddie Cassidy, Christian Lawhead, and Kelsey Griffin. The boys were led by Ian Holtson's 5th place finish. Jordan Lee, Drew Simon, Matt Wyss, Kyle Wysong, and Matt Scharenbroch were other KHS scorers. At last night's Logansport Invitational, our girls finished 11th of 15 and our boys were 5th of 16. Five of our six girls set season bests. Annika Taber was 3rd in 20:22, Kellie Miles ran a 22:33, Katie Klein ran 23:02, Kelsey Griffin ran 23:26, and Christian Lawhead ran a 24:53. Ian Holtson led the boys in 12th place with a 17:18. Other outstanding performances were Jordan Lee with a 17:42 and Drew Simon with a 17:57. The Wildkat harriers are at Indiana Wesleyan on Tuesday for the NCC meet. – Coach Stucker |

At yesterday's NCC cross country championships at Indiana Wesleyan, our KHS girls finished 6th and were led by Annika Taber. She was All-NCC and finished 2nd - just two seconds off our school record. She cut 30 seconds off her season best. Despite stopping to tie her spikes at the 2-mile mark, she caught up with the pack and passed them in the last 400 meters. Maddie Cassidy and Christian Lawhead set season bests, also. Our boys finished 4th and were led by Ian Holtson. He finished 8th and was also All-NCC. Drew Simon cut nine seconds off his season best. Our Wildkat harriers open IHSAA Sectional tournament action on Tuesday at the Logansport Berry Patch course. – Coach Stucker |

Our KHS Lady Wildkat harriers finished 7th in the IHSAA Sectional at Logansport yesterday. Annika Taber was 2nd, Kellie Miles was 27th, Kelsey Griffin was 45th, Maddie Cassidy was 49th, and Christian Lawhead was 50th. Annika advances to the Culver Academies Regional on Saturday at 10:30 AM. Our boys finished 3rd and advance as a team to Culver. Ian Holtson was 12th, Jordan Lee was 13th, Drew Simon was 26th, Dylan Walker was 27th, Matt Wyss was 31st, Kyle Wysong was 38th, and Vince Calabro was 51st. Freshman Annika Taber finished 7th in the Culver Academies IHSAA Regional and qualified for this Saturday's New Prairie Semi-State in New Carlisle. Annika was in contention for second place, when she ran out of fuel with only 400 meters to go. She stumbled and fell, but struggled to her feet and gutted out a tough finish. Our boys' team finished 5th and also qualified for the Semi-State. They were led again by senior Ian Holtson, who finished 12th in 16:58. Junior Jordan Lee was 30th, senior Drew Simon finished 33rd, sophomore Dylan Walker placed 36th, junior Matt Wyss was 39th, sophomore Kyle Wysong finished 49th, and junior Vince Calabro placed 60th. ended their season at the New Prairie Semi-State on Saturday. Annika Taber
placed 80th individually in 21:15 in the girls' race. In the boys' race, Ian Holtson finished 66th in 17:35, Jordan Lee was 92nd in 17:56, Dylan Walker ran 118th in 18:22, Drew Simon placed 125th in 18:38, Kyle Wysong finished 128th in 18:42, Vince Calabro was 145th in 19:21, and Jeremy Gilman ran 161st in 20:49.
