Personal Comments: Hello all! As many of you already know, Eric Acord and I were married in May of 1987. We are getting ready to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. We have two wonderful children Kortne age 15 and Seth age 8. Kortne is a freshman at KHS and Seth is a second grader at Lafayette Park. Eric is working at Daimler-Chrysler Casting Plant. He has been there 7 years. I am a stay at home wife and mother. After graduation, Eric was in the Navy for 4 years. We lived in San Leandro, CA for a while. Personal Comments: Hey all! Wow it has been a long time since I have seen anybody from the class of '86. After school I attended and graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Taylor University. I worked in Kokomo for a couple of years and then spent a year working in Yellowstone National Park. In early 1994 I started working as a juvenile probation officer in Valparaiso. I got married in late 1995 and in 1996 moved to Princeton, IL. In the time I have been here I have gotten divorced, remarried and now have a four and a half month old daughter named Brielle, who is absolutely wonderful. I worked for about three years as a mental health case manager and for the past three years have worked in a prosecutors office as the director of a court diversion program for juvenile delinquents. In my years before coming to Illinois I travelled and backpacked all over the country and have been fortunate enough to see lots of beautiful and amazing places. I became a Cosmetologist in the fall of 1986 but am not doing hair at this time. I was doing hair when I met Mark in Kokomo. He was stationed at Grissom AFB the time. For those who knew me must remember my North Carolina accent? My husband is a UNC grad and grew up in Myrtle Beach, SC so we connected right away. I hope to get a job at the US Embassy in Athens, where we will be living this August. We are now living in Monterey, Ca where we are learning the language "Greek." We will be in Athens, Greece from Aug. 2002-2005. I plan on attending the 2004 Olympics (yeah!!). My 2 daughters will be attending an American School, of which the tuition is 9K each child, per year, Uncle Sam is paying (TG) The "Toga" day at KHS , who would have guessed. I left Kokomo in 91. One of our bridesmaids couldn't make it 'cause she just happened to be an Al-Qaeda expert in the FBI. True story. But I digress. Now, if you happen to remember me at all (and you probably don't and I'm totally cool with that), you might recall that I was obsessed with a little known Irish rock band called U2. Remember them? I spent 9 1/2 great years traveling the world at the government’s expense. I spent five years in Europe (Italy) and Asia (Turkey), and a year in Alaska. My last tour was in the Tacoma, Washington area. I was Honorably Discharged in the spring of 1999 and returned to Kokomo. I spent five great years working at the Kokomo Perspective newspaper, first as the Sports Editor and then the Managing Editor. In 2004, I published a book called, “Kats with a K: The 100 Year History of Kokomo High School Boy’s Basketball.” That was a thrill to write. Copies are still available at the Perspective office. I left the newspaper in June 2004 and am currently working for Kellogg Brown and Root as a U.S. Army contractor in Baghdad, Iraq. I work in Government Operations in the International Zone (formerly called the Green Zone). Personal Comments: Wow, what a difference a couple of decades makes, right? Who would have thought where my life has taken me? Not me certainly, but I am truly blessed. I am self-employed in the legal profession and adore my job. Being your own boss, working from home, setting your own hours and pay is the greatest thing in the world, especially as a parent. Speaking of which, I have one beautiful daughter who is now 12. She is the absolute love of my life and, yes, she has every bit of her mom's brains but fortunately not all the geek tendencies that went with it. Oh, and she's into sports, which I now am, but you couldn't get me anywhere near in high school. Living in Orlando, FL is like living in a dream world, and I thank God literally every day for bringing us here. We spent 9 years in South Carolina, including 3 living in Charleston (which was fantastic), but nothing beats sunny Florida. I have to admit that I haven't even stepped foot in Indiana but a couple times in the past decade. As soon as I got the chance, I headed for warmer, sunnier weather and haven't looked back. I hope everyone is doing well and life has been kind. I'm sure we've all had our share of struggles in the past two decades, but in the end, we are all blessed.

Personal Comments: Well, hello all! After graduating from CCAD (a little private art school that gave me a scholorship) and 5 years of party blur in Columbus Ohio I headed off to my first gig in Miami FL. Almost 13 years have gone by and am wondering what happened!

For those who remember me I was 6 feet tall ang 6 inches wide. My width has finally caught up with the height and while the margarita's were filling out my waistline I met a Brazillian girl that barely spoke English. She is a smalltown girl from the other side of the world. We have spent the last 11 years together and have been married for 4 of them. We've traveled half the world together and don't plan to stop.

The career has had me travelling a bit also. I've been to London, Jamaica, Canada, and all over the tropics in the name of work. I can't believe they pay me to do this. I would like to relocate back up north sometimes but...then I actually feel the bitter chill hit my face and I realize that I have grown accustom to warm sunshine and swimsuits year-round. Miami ain't cheap but it has it's benefits.

Personal Comments: I’m back in Mississippi County where Charleston is located.  I’m now a Deputy for the County, all 423 square miles.  October 2006  I soley assisted the Public Housing in decreasing the high crime.  In 2007 the PHA board bought a 2007 dodge charger SRT Hemi, police package donated to the sheriff Dept for my use 7 days a week 24 hours a day.  I earn every bit of it, on or off duty I still make arrests to stop drugs.  I have been to Indiana a few times for training with my charger (black with gold letters).  It’s a poor county so there are only 4 deputy’s, and many days just one on duty.  Last year I made 88 drug arrest and 3 meth labs, and led investigation which lead to an arrest of 1 homicide, 3 1^st degree assaults for 2007.  This year 2008 I started of with 1 meth lab and 13 drug arrsest, one case is going federal for all the drugs located on the prior offender.  Its hard to believe there are places like this with population less than 14,000 for the whole county and these problems are so great.  My brother is a Police Officer in VA and my sister is a Police Officer in Chicago.  I can’t keep anyone with this job, but I am proud of my children and pray they keep doing well.  I hope all of you are doing well.

Personal Comments: I am married to a great guy and living on the westside of Indy. I have three kids: Kristen (1992), Jacob (1996) and Lyndsay (2000). I spent 10 yrs living in California after graduation and moved back to Kokomo in 1997. I moved to Indy in 2000. My husband is active duty army and set to retire in April 2009. He's finishing up his 3rd tour in Iraq. He's also been to Bosnia twice; Haiti once and spent six years in Germany. I am a fulltime nurse, working on the westside of Indy, in Avon. My specialty right now is rehab/ortho/medicare. I really enjoy my job! The kids keep us busy as well. We travel to Minnesota frequently, where my husband is from. It was great to see everyone at the 20 yr reunion and I'm looking forward to a 25th.

Personal Comments: I moved from Kokomo in 1998 To South Carolina. I have two girls who are 13 And 17, I am living with my boyfriend of 3+ Years who has 3 little boys. Ages 3, 6, And 8. Talk about starting over! I have been working at Lee Correctional Facility(prison) for over 5 years. Never saw that coming either. Hope to chat with ya'll soon.

Personal Comments: After graduation I continued to teach dance classes in Kokomo and attending IUK where I earned a B.S. in Business Management and Administration. I married in 1991 and moved to the Indianapolis area although I frequently visit my family back in Kokomo on the weekends.

I work in Indianapolis for ADP which stands for Automatic Data Processing, we process payrolls for thousands of clients worldwide. I am a Regional technical trainer, I train our assoicates on new and existing products. This is something I never thought I would be doing but I really enjoy it. If you knew me in High School I was very shy and reserved, public speaking was not my thing.

I enjoy my job most days but the thing I love most in the world is my 15 month old daughter Abigail, she is truly the love of my life. I try to spend most of my non-work time with her. My husband and I waited 7 years before we had her and it is amazing how much kids change your life for the better.
