Personal Comments: I graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1958. I served on active duty for 32 years, retiring as a Rear Admiral. I got to travel to all seven continents, take off and land on 16 aircraft carriers, have command of seven different squadrons/wings/ships/etc. and had an absolutely splendid time.

After Navy retirement, I worked as the executive vice president (and trustee of stock) for a medium sized ship repair company in San Diego. I next worked as Director of Navy Business Development for Texas Instruments and later (after Raytheon bought T.I.) for Raytheon until I retired in 2000.

My wife of 42 years and I have really traveled since retirement, my golf game is better, I hunt more often and we baby sit for the 11 grandchildren our 4 children have provided. Two of my children and a son-in-law are currently on active duty with the U.S. Navy.

Personal Comments: Bob and I will be married 46 years this month. Wow. We have three sons - Chuck and Mike who are twins and will be 44 this month -- on our anniversary, in fact; and Bruce, 37. Bruce lives in Valparaiso just 20 minutes from us. Chuck and his family live in Texas; and Mike lives in Baltimore. We usually manage to get together at least once a year. Bob and I have done some traveling, but it is somewhat curtailed now because of Bob's health. At the 45th, I was celebrating one year of survival of a 5-way open heart bypass. At the 50th, I will be celebrating the five-year anniversary of being diagnosed with breast cancer, Stage 3. I got this diagnosis two weeks after the 45th reunion. Talk about shock! I managed to survive six months of chemo and seven weeks of radiation. I was ornery enough not to wear a wig or a hat while I was bald. Believe me, it got cold that winter. Hope to see many of you this August.

Personal Comments: I have been widowed for the past four years. Lost my husband after several years of heart problems. My twins are Michael Hopkins projects engineer at Dupont, Marcia Hulet 44 OB Gyn Nurse Practioner, Michelle Hopkins Mayer 38 owns MJM Design Studio with husband, and Melissa Hopkins Knapp 32 BS Degree in Nursing. They have given me 8 beautiful grandchildren. I keep the road hot between Kokomo and Indy to visit the three youngest.

I will be retiring from the Federal Gov't on September 1st. Working for U.S. Cong. Buyer. Prior to that worked 20years as Physicians Lab Tech. Looking forward to seeing everyone at this our 50th.

Personal Comments: Millie and I have been happily married for 49 years. We have been blessed with three super children (Todd, Bryan, and Laura) and have, to-date, eight grandchildren (5 girls and 3 boys). We lost a son (our first) who was only with us eight months. I graduated from Purdue in 1957 with a B.S.M.E degree and then completed a M.S. in Engineering in 1965 from Purdue. We lived a short time in Texas when I worked for Union Carbide Chemicals, but then returned to Kokomo where I worked for Delco for 38 years in many capacities from Engineering to Management. During this time we spent two years in Jacksonville, Fl where I was Regional Sales Manager. I retired in 1996. Since then we spend winters at our condo in St. Petersburg and summers at our home in Carmel. We like to travel and have been fortunate in being able to see many places in Europe and the Far East. We enjoy our children and grandchildren and are lucky that they are all within the Carmel area. We look forward to seeing old friends at the reunion.

Larry and I purchased a house in The Villages, Florida and spend about 5 months there for now. We plan to sell our Kokomo home in 2001. Personal Comments: After getting a BS and MS at Case Tech, I went into the Nuclear Engineering program at UC Berkeley. I met Judy at Berkeley, got a PhD, and went into the Air Force for 3 years. Then we returned to the West Coast to a teaching position at Oregon State University, where we have stayed for the past 38 years. We have 4 grown daughters, all married, and luckily living nearby in Portland or Seattle. We are blessed with 4 grandchildren so far. I retired 5 years ago as a Professor and Associate Dean. Judy got her PhD and is currently teaching religious studies courses at OSU. We have been enjoying our summer place on Puget Sound, traveling, and for me, teaching a few courses from time to time. Our health is good and we're looking forward to the 50th Reunion!

Personal Comments: Our life has been one of transportation vehicles! Perhaps the only motorized things we have not owned is a train. Helicopters, airplanes, motor home, motorcycle, houseboats, ski boats and of course, the usual..bikes,lawnmowers, convertibles etc. On our travels we have riden on parasails, tutus, camels,donkeys, cable cars over the rain forests, barges in the jungles and a elephant on our 45th wedding anniversary! Life is GOOD!

Personal Comments: I have been married 45 years. We have 2 children, Anne(41) and Ken(40), and 4 grandchildren - aged 6 to 1. We are totally devoted to the grandchildren - go on vacations with them, and see them every day. I stayed home with our children until they were grown, then went back to school, earned an MBA and am happily working away. I received a diagnosis of slow-growing non-hodgkins lymphoma two years ago. I concentrate on enjoying each day and living it to the fullest. Would love to hear from you.

Personal Comments: Jim attended General Motors Institute in Flint Michigan (now Kettering University), receiving a BSME in 1958. In 1955, he married Grace Marie DeShon (KHS 1955). Their first son was born November, 1956. In 1961, Jim desired to change careers, and moved to Honeywell Inc. in Minneapolis. In March, 1962, their second son was born, on a night with -31f temperature. In 1965, the wanderlust again kicked in, and the family moved to Jackson, Michigan, where Jim tok a job with Mechanical Products, Inc. The same happened in 1967, When the family moved to Sunnyvale, California, where Jim went to work for The Ansul Co. Four months later, the facility was closed. This was the first involuntary job loss the family had experienced. That experience and advancing age (32) led Jim to contact GM again, and resulted in the family returning to Kokomo. The next ten years passed quickly. Then, In November 1978, GM offered Jim a job at Pontiac Motor Division as liaison on the digital microprocessor controls for gasoline engine emissions. In 1985, he was offered a job at the Saturn Corporation in Troy, Michigan. In September,1991, he ended that career with retirement. Several years were spent as consultant and contract employee. In February, 1998, when both were qualified for Social Security, Jim finally retired and went completely on the dole. They live the quiet life of senior citizens, traveling about in their motorhome as life allows.

Personal Comments: Married 45 years,three children,three grandchildren and lived in three states with the last 38 years in Ohio. Worked as a surgical nurse in Lafayette and Indianapolis. Jim is a 1953 Lafayette Jeff grad and I met him while working at St Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette.
