Web Design

Web Page Design is a two-semester course for students interested in learning current design strategies utilized on the World Wide Web. Components of the course will include but will not be limited to learning tools, strategies and techniques for web site design. The course will also explore methods for creating successful web sites from concept to implementation. Students will learn to integrate text, graphics, audio and video into basic, moderate and complex page designs. Students will also review current commercial, personal business, and informational web sites to explore the most current innovative tools being utilized to provide consumers with a positive web experience. Students will learn and design web pages with Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 software. Students will also receive limited training in Adobe Fireworks and Adobe Flash software as these programs pertain to web design course content. By the end of the second semester, students will have completed portfolio components that coincide with lessons. Dual credit with IVY Tech State College and Vincennes University could become available for this course
