Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Mechanical Design begins at the introductory level with an objective to develop knowledge and skills essential to careers in drafting and design occupations. Students will learn skills in basic sketching, orthographic projection, sectioning, the use of auxiliary views, thread and fastener terminology, working drawings, and basic assembly drawings. The advanced level of the course work includes increased training in AutoCAD software in 3D Solids Modeling. Visualization techniques will also be learned using Autodesk 3D Studio, VIZ, a solids modeling and rendering package. Parametric solids modeling will also be learned using Autodesk Inventor software A ONE CREDIT OPTION IS ALSO AVAILABLE |
