Design Technology (C.A.D.) Architectural Design is designed to give students rudimentary knowledge in the construction of basic residential floor plans, foundation plans, roof plans, and elevations using the AutoCAD software. Many open-ended design problems will be utilized. The advanced course work begins with each student designing a single story home and building a scale model of the structure complete with all wall and roof framing members. Training in 3D solids and modeling and visualization practices will also be accomplished.
