The Kokomo High School Marching Wildkats recently highlighted another successful competition season with a Sweet 15 finish at the Indiana State Fair Band Day.  Playing the music of Igor Stravinsky’s “Firebird,” the KHS Marching Band entertained the State Fair audience twice as the Marching Wildkats earned 12^th in both the afternoon prelims and the evening finals.
 

Director of Band, Mr. John Pinson, thanked the students and staff for a fantastic summer of marching band.
 

“Our success is based on the talent and work ethic of the students and staff of the Kokomo High School band program,” Mr. Pinson said. “I am fortunate to work with great students and a wonderful and knowledgeable staff.  We look forward to entertaining our KHS fans the rest of the school year, as well as many more successful marching seasons to come.”
 

The KHS Marching Wildkats will be performing their State Fair show for Kokomo fans at the varsity football home opener August 24^th vs. Plainfield.  Game time is 7 p.m.
