Kokomo Area Career Center graphic design students, left-right, Tim Aldridge and Anthony Bitner helped with book design.

Kokomo Area Career Center students Tim Aldridge and Anthony Bitner from Melissa Cohick’s Graphic Design class were given a special learning experience when career center teacher Chris Johnson asked them to help him design his book, titled Looking … A Soul’s Journey. After receiving a file of photos and writings, Tim and Anthony worked with Mr. Johnson to decide the colors, layout, and design for each page of the book.

Mrs. Cohick noted that Tim and Anthony were excited to test their design skills after preparing for the project by designing posters, business cards, and brochures. Both Tim and Anthony plan to pursue a career in Graphic Design following graduation. Mr. Johnson’s book is now for sale after being printed by Winters Publishing. Mr. Johnson, who was born and raised in Kokomo, is currently teaching Criminal Justice classes at the career center.
