Parent Resource Center Below are some places that parents can go to for various resources.
1. www.hoosiershelpinghoosiers.org - opportunities for volunteering as well as receiving help with many needs.
2. 2-1-1, or call 765-457-4357 and get information on food, counseling, employment, health care, substance abuse, support groups, housing/shelter, legal aid, clothing, education, and many more services. This is a service of United Way of Howard County.
3. Education Resources: Study Island: Students can go to www.studyisland.com, and log in with their student access id. Students then can practice reading and math skills.
www.zoodle.com has access to lots of fun learning games!
www.sheppardsoftware.com has access to fun learning games, including a "place the states" game to learn the fifty U. S. states and capitals!
www.readinga-z.com has access to reading materials for beginning readers. Some parts of the website require a subscription, but this is well worth it!
http://dc.doe.in.gov/Standards/AcademicStandards/resources.aspx - resources for parents to use to help prepare their children for ISTEP+ testing.
