You're a Senior! Now what?

Hurrah! You're finally a senior but your work is far from over. Here's a monthly calendar of things you need to be taking care of if you plan on continuing your education after high school.

Filling out all those college applications can be a daunting task. Find out what you should and should not do.

The John and Jane Pitzer  -- Students must be attending an Indiana University Campus, explain scholastic goals, plans, and financial needs, three references.  Applications in the Guidance Office Resource Room 118.  Deadline May 7, 2010.

We have another scholarship available for current seniors, The Chumming Club.  Criteria, must have a “C” GPA or above, financial need and high standards, school and community involvement (2) $250.00 scholarships; applications in the Guidance Office Resource Room 118.

Pizza Hut –Food Service/Gene Cain Memorial Pizza Hut Scholarship – offering (4) $500.00 scholarships for hard-working students with a minimum “B” GPA, priority given to students majoring in food service or hospitality industry, but not limited to such.  Cannot be ranked in the top 10% of their class.  This company offers scholarship monies because they are part of our school lunch program.

 Coca-Cola Scholarship -- (1) $500.00 scholarship to a student who has demonstrated service or leadership in school/community, academic achievement.

Scholarship Applications are available in the Guidance Office Resource Room 118.  Deadline Thursday, May 13, 2010. 

 

Indianapolis Black Alumni Council, Inc. Scholarship

 Eligibility: 

  • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior
  • Applicant must be planning to enroll into any Historically Black College/University for the fall of 2010
  • GPA must be 2.8 or above (on a 4 point scale)
  • Applications are due to counselor by May 25, 2010, Scholarships must be received by June 1, 2010 to the Indianapolis Black Alumni Council in Indianapolis
